Shell considers domestic LNG plant for Ontario refinery

Shell is investigating building a small LNG-processing unit at its Corunna, Ontario, Canada refinery north of Detroit, theobserver.com reported May 25. The small facility would produce up to 200,000 to 300,000 tonnes of LNG annually, occupying five to 10 acres. According to James Burns, Shell's general manager for clean energy and innovation, the facility would be constructed of "modular units" that will be delivered to the site.
