Companies will have until April 2012 to submit proposals to supply Jamaica with a floating, storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to be cited at Port Esquivel in St. Catherine, The Gleaner reported Dec. 21. The government has compiled a list of qualified companies to participate in the new bid round, including Dubai-based Shell International Trading Middle East Limited, Japans Marubeni Corporation; Spanish companies Gas Natural and Repsol, and U.S.-based Pace Global and Morgan Stanley.
