Sendai's Shinminato Terminal Fixable, TEPCO Says Four Other Terminals Undamaged

Sendai Gas said on March 14 that the Shinminato LNG terminal was unreachable and later stated that it would take more than a month to fix the terminal. Compressors, meters and electric control equipment were reportedly damaged; however, the in-ground tank appears to have remained intact.
