Canine lymphosarcoma: treatment with a combination chemotherapy.

16 dogs with lymphosarcoma at stages 4 and 5 were treated with a doxorubicin-based combined chemotherapy at the Small Animal Clinic, School of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover, Germany. Complete remission was achieved in 12 dogs (75%) and partial remission in 4 dogs (25%). Lymphosarcoma was in remission in 8 dogs (50%) 6 months after treatment, but 12 months after treatment lymphosarcoma was in remission only in 20% of dogs. One-year survival rate was 25%. Survival times over 2 years was achieved in 2dogs.
