The American Contact Dermatitis Society: 20 years of progress.

THE AMERICAN CONTACT DERMATITIS SOCIETY (ACDS) celebrated its twentieth anniversary at its annual meeting on March 5, 2009, in San Francisco. The meeting at the historic Palace Hotel was punctuated by presentations on the vibrant history of the society, some of its colorful personalities, its journal, and the future of patch testing. This article is an expanded version of some of the material about the living history presented at that event.
