Finding right way to set about treating lameness

We expect cows to spend a long time on their feet and it follows that anything that makes standing uncomfortable will adversely affect their performance. When animals are lame they will not want to walk any distance which becomes a real problem when farmers are looking to maximise production from grazing. Lame cows will eat less and lose more condition, predisposing them to yield and fertility problems.
