Quota prices fall as the milk price drops

Quota broker Ian Potter makes some predictions for the coming quota year. The fall in the milk price has dominated the headlines since my last contribution. Many producers will have to tighten their belts, no doubt about that. The fall in quota prices will help a bit - 4% butterfat quota is down to 9,8ppl on lease and 41.5ppl on sale since the new quota year started.
