Dynamic processes involving the P_4 cage coordinated to transition metal fragments were observed for the mononuclear complex trans-[Ru(dppm)_2(H)(η~1-P_4)]BF_4 and for the bimetallic derivative trans-[Ru(dppm)_2(H)(μ, η~(1:2)-P_4){Pt(PPh_3)_2}]BF _4 as demonstrated by NMR experiments and DFT calculations.
