Thermal flame straightening - optimum technology to eliminate strains

The strains after welding, the principles and properties of thermal flame straightening, the types and selection for flame straightening torches, setting of flame and heating modes were outlined. Straightening of plates and rolled sections, straightening of angular strains of selected weldment components and simple welded structures of beam types were analysed. The prevention of undesirable strain formation was described.
