Jackfish 'Extremely Profitable' With Narrow Differentials, Low Gas Prices: Devon

Rising production from Devon Energy Corporation's Jackfish oilsands project led the company's operational highlights for the second quarter.Production at the 100%-Devon-owned project in northeastern Alberta averaged 28,000 bbls of bitumen a day in June, and was as high as 33,000 bbls a day during the month, the company said. That's up from 14,500 bbls a day exiting June 2008. Climbing output from the steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) project helped lift Devon's total Canadian production for the quarter by nearly 12,000 bbls of oil equivalent (see table).
