摘要

The present work describes the application of finite element methods for modelling form tapping processes and supplies basic information about the underlying relationship of individual and joint process parameters as well as tool geometry pa-rameters. Since the surrounding workpiece material conceals the tapping process, it remains highly inaccessible to conven-tional methods of analysis. For that reason finite element methods as well as reduced model experiments are used for the investigation of the three-dimensional state of stress during the forming process and for describing the multi-axial flow of work material governed by various shape and technology parameters.
