Seismic vibration of nonconservative mechanical systems with viscodampers

The contribution is devoted to the seismic vibration analysis of nonconservative mechanical systems with viscodampers by a new modified response spectrum method. The method is based on the modal analysis of non-classic damped systems with frequency dependent viscodampers. The seismic excitation is described by an acceleration response spectrum. The method is applied for the seismic analysis of the primary coolant loop of the nuclear reactor. [References: 3]
