It's a beautiful thing. In the third quarter of 2014, sales of US prestige beauty products increased 6% to $2.4 billion, according to The NPD Group. Makeup leads 2014 overall prestige beauty sales, with eye, face, and lip products making up the bulk of the growth. During the period, fragrance, sales continued to rise, jumping nearly 5%. And facial masks are the primary driver of skin care growth, with a significant double-digit increase compared to a year ago, according to the Port Washington, NY-based research firm.
