Processing "opportunity" feedstocks require refiners to manage greater volumes of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Careful considerations in the design and operations of processing must address vulnerabilities to H2S—a toxic compound. Several presented methods will discuss risk-reduction approaches when handling H2S-containing streams.
