LNG compressor with unique sealing system

摘要

For LNG ship transportation,a cryogenic receiving terminal is required at the port of destination.Exposure of materials to cryogenic temperatures and bone-dry gas,as well as rapid temperature changes are of high concern to plant and compressor designers.A paper offered by Burckhardt Compression AG presents design features of labyrinth piston compressors(Labys)specially designed for recovering LNG boil-off gas(BOG)vapor in receiving terminals.
