IRPC 2013 highlights refining, petrochemical integration

The importance of downstream integration and strategies to compete with new US plants dominated talk at the fourth annual International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC). The three-day event, held from July 9-11 in New Delhi, India, featured more than 40 presentations (FIG. 1) from top industry officials on key technical issues within the refining and petrochemical sectors. Approximately 300 delegates from 25 countries were on hand for the conference, organized by Gulf Publishing Company and hosted by state-run group Indian Oil.
