Through investigations carried'out in our department, a positive result can be obtainedwas achieved in the field of the milking development technology. Anin order to increasincrease ein the quality and efficiency was achieved through with taking intoconsideration all the factors into a complex unit. The aim for the future is to use plastic fittings in milking units adapted to the udder configuration of the cow stock (bearing in mind that breeders are also trying to create stock where the animals have uniform and symmetrical udder quarters). The aim was realised using milking robots where the above described asymmetrical solution of the milking units was applied taking into consideration the individual parameters of the animals. Using the regulatorelements, continuous corrections could be realised in the milking process according to the detected parameters. Now the completed improvements include the most important technical solutions of milking units, to allow for better fitting to the present milking equipment. It should be considered that the application possibilities of the milking robots will be limited in the near future, taking into account the following factors: - the length and diameter of the milking liner, and - the diameter and length of milk tube.
