A large population of developing countries still does not have access to good quality drinking water.It is ainly due to rapid increase in population,growth in urbanisation,overexploitation of good quality water urces,and inadequate maintenance of installation and supply system.At times,the water purified in big stallations for domestic purposes,generally the municipal supply water,may get contaminated again th pathogens or other contaminants due to various reasons.The best way to ensure the safety of inking water is to install an appropriate water purification device at the point of use,i.e.,in the house self,which can take care of biological and other contaminants like suspended solids,organics,residual tlorine,colour and odour in the municipal supply water.
