'Alata', 'Gulsen', and 'Uzun' seedless lemons and 'Eylul' early-maturing lemon.

Alata, Gulsen, Uzun and Eylul are new lemon cultivars developed in Mersin, Turkey, by budwood irradiation from Femminello lemon cv. Kutdiken. The seedless cultivars (Alata, Gulsen and Uzun) can be harvested from November to February, whereas Eylul produces fruits from the end of August to November. Alata, Gulsen and Uzun are vigorous with long branches and upright growth habits similar to Kutdiken. Eylul exhibits a slower growth rate, which is appropriate for denser orchards in Turkey. After 4 controlled inoculations with Phoma tracheiphila [Deuterophoma tracheiphila], Eylul had no disease symptoms, whereas the seedless cultivars were as susceptible as Kutdiken.
