Traditional small nurseries that sell a wide variety of plants to garden centres and the retail trade are fast becoming an endangered species. The latest sales figures released by the HTA show that a major shake-up of the industry could soon be on the cards. The figures, which go up to March of this year, are compiled by members of the HTA's Nursery Business Improvement Scheme, For some sectors of the industry, they make grim reading.
