Well behaved, attractive and sturdy are some of the accolades regularly given to Achillea. Its drought tolerance is making Achillea an increasingly popular plant today, and a host of new cultivars are now on the market. Often these keep their colour better than older varieties, some of which turn brown with age. On the other hand, some of the traditional varieties -and indeed the species - are far tougher plants, which is why some nurseries have shown renewed interest. This comes in the nick of timeas some were on the point of extinction.
