EastGro brings growers and buyers together from the eastern counties and beyond. Notcutts garden centres hosted the EastGro show last year and following tradition it will be held at the same venue for two years running - and this year's date is September 12. The show, the stated aim of which is to put the grower in touch with the retailer, will take place at Notcutts container and dispatch site at Pettistree, near Woodbridge, in Suffolk. As in the past, exhibitors will not be confined to those fromthe east of England. Show organiser Sue Last says: "All the regulars will be there and a number of others who will be making their debut." Changes are going to be made in the layout of the show. This year, aisles will go across the 22,000m~2 or so of the Notcutts dispatch building. There will also be a trolley fair, but this year it will be larger and held undercover. Among the exhibits on display will be a polythene for tunnels that cuts out both the fog and condensation that can help spread disease.SteriLite MDF Supreme will be on display at the XL Horticulture stand alongside another innovation, SuperBlue polythene, which is designed to restrict growth in bedding plants by anything up to 50 per cent.
