Utilization of oily post-rolling mill scale sludges

摘要

Post-rolling mill scale sludges contain oil and oil-derivative substances which make difficult their direct application in sinter plant and in blast furnace. The paper presents trials of utilizing oily mill scale sludges for blast-furnace charge in form of pellets. Pellets made from most fine and most oily fractions have been burned under oxidizing atmosphere. Chemical constitution and compressive strength of obtained charge material exceed with regard to quality Poltawa and Kosztamur pellets.
