Thermovision is presented as a invasionless researchmethod for measurement of temperature distribution on thesurface of tested body which can be utilized in many industrial andresearch projects. The base of thermovision operation with specialreference to most important parameters which should beconsidered by thermovision measurements, research system andsoftware for thermal image analysis are described. Principaldirections of thermovision utilization and examples of utilizationin iron and steel industry are presented. Special attention was givento usability of thermovision camera as an instrument for control ofprocess running and for early failure warning.
