摘要

This article highlights the influence of intraspecific behavioural variations on the success of both deliberate and unintentional species introductions during the pre-establishment phase of the introduction process. This paper is a reply to a letter in TREE (Trends in Ecology and Evolution) by Carrete, M. et al. [see Carrete, M. et al. (2012) Don't neglect pre-establishment individual selection in deliberate introductions. Trends Ecol. Evol. 27, 67-68].
