Family harmony fuels successful dairy farms

FAMILY relationships can be challenging! When you have the same family members working together, things get even more interesting. Yet, one of the attractions of farming for many people is the opportunity to work and raise a family together while pursuing a vocation they love. Last month, over 150 people, mostly dairy families and representatives from dairy businesses, attended a meeting sponsored by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania (PDMP). They came to hear Carl Clarke speak about ways to work in harmony. Clarke is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in family relationships.
