The Use of Fluidised-bed Reactors for Chemical Vapour Deposition, Thermochemical and Thermoreactive Diffusion Treatments on Ferrous and Non-ferrous Alloys

Following a review of the application of fluidised beds for conventional (carbon- and nitrogen-based) surface heat treatments and high-temperature CVD coating, the author examines thermoreactive processes for metallic element deposition or diffusion. He introduces a low-temperature thermoreactive/thermochemical process claimed to offer an alternative to conventional CVD and PVD techniques.
