Mitsui Chemicals Inc,Japan,and Prime Polymer-a joint venture between Mitsui and Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd,also Japan-are to expand their worldwide production of PP compounds for automotive use.The companies currently make the PP compounds in North America,Thailand,China and Europe.Their aim is to expand capacity by 27% to 300 kt by May 2007,spurred by growing demand in North America and Asia.
