PTFE-MODIFIED PEEK COMPOUNDS LAUNCHED

Lehvoss North America of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA, has launched a range of polymers lubricated with a proprietary PTFE formulation. The initial compounds in the range - called Luvocom 1105-9098/XTF and 1105-9182/XTF-are based on PEEK, while formulations based on other polymers are under development. Lehvoss North America claims that these compounds exhibit significantly increased wear-resistance, especially at high loads, when compared with standard PTFE formulations.
