EASY-TO-PROCESS POLYIMIDE

Nexam Chemical has launched a polyimide resin for high-temperature appli- cations, which it claims is easy to process. With a glass-transition temperature (Tg) of above 400°C, the resin - called Neximid MHT-R - is primarily intended for use in the resin-transfer moulding (RTM) of composite parts for the aerospace industry. It demonstrates a low melt viscosity at processing temperatures.
