摘要

A moulding machine capable of carrying out both injection and blow moulding processes in one mould has been developed by Engel of Schwertberg, Austria, and Cantoni of Abbadia Lariana, Italy. With a cycle time of less than 14 seconds for the manufacture of wide-necked jars, Engel says that the process - called inject2blow - significantly reduces time and costs in the manufacture of cosmetic, drug, and food containers in comparison with conventional methods.
