Career path: Gordon Lomax

Safety is a natural progression from production management, so when the opportunity presented itself I was keen to be involved in the field of health and safety on a more professional basis. I have the NEBOSH General Certificate and NVQ Levels 3, 4 and 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. To help with the ongoing development of management control systems, I recently attended a course on waste minimisation and environmental management, which is closely related to aspects of health and safety good practice.
