WAREHOUSES are the focus of this fire safety training video produced by the Fire Protection Association and the Norwich Union, which provides comprehensive guidance on the main fire risks and how to guard against them. After a low-key general introduction to warehouse usage throughout the UK, the viewer is then shown dramatic footage of some real fires to emphasise the fact that warehouse fires spread quickly and to devastating effect. The point is well made that whilst insurance is important to warehouse owners, there are often many hidden costs following a fire that cannot be compensated for. Loss of customers, adverse publicity and loss of market share are only some of the uninsured costs used as examples.
