Protecting soils against degradation

摘要

Negative anthropogenic interference with the soil water regime is considered. The respective contributions of water-facilities construction; misguided practices of soil drainage, land improvement, or cultivation; and road construction are discussed. The causes, manifestations, and preventive measures are described for each form of soil degradation.
