Tesoro Purchase Shell's Los Angeles Refinery; Announces 129% Q4 Earnings Increase

U.S. independent refiner Tesoro announced that its Board has approved agreements for the company to buy Shell's 100,000 b/d Wilmington, Calif., oil refinery near Los Angeles, its Wilmington Products Terminal and about 250 Shell-branded retail stations in Southern California from Shell Oil Products U.S. for 1.6 billion.
