Sinopec Boosted Crude Input, Products Output in First Half 2007

Integrated Chinese national oil company Sinopec said July 18 that its volume of crude refined was 6% higher in the first half of 2007 than in the same period a year ago, at 76.3 million tonnes.Also, Sinopec said it produced 57.9 million tonnes of total refined products, including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and light chemicals, up 7%. Of that quantity, 62% is sold at retail, 17% direct to end-users and 21% to wholesalers. The company is the dominant refiner in southern China.
