API Reports Gasoline Demand Grew in 2007's First Quarter

First quarter U.S. gasoline demand, as measured by deliveries, rose 1.7% above year-ago levels as strong deliveries in January and February offset weak numbers in March, according to the American Petroleum Institute (API). U.S. gasoline production rose 6% in the first quarter to a record 8.8 million b/d, API's Monthly Statistical Report for March showed.
