Petrobas Inks First U.S. Downstream Deal; Plans to Expand Pasadena Refinery System with Partner Astra Oil

Petrobras officials signed a contract that gives the Brazilian oil giant 50% control of Pasadena Refinery System, located in Pasadena, Texas. The deal with Astra Oil, which now owns half of the 100,000 b/d refinery, is Petrobras' first move into the U.S. downstream market.
