Deepwater Seismic Acquisition and Processing Considerations

Overall, deepwater exploitation involves significant risks and costs. There is an even greater than usual responsibility to acquire optimal seismic data that will enable any such risks and costs to be minimized. Seismic data must be acquired optimally the first time. In deepwater environments, this requires significant acquisition technologies, ideally deployed without compromising efficiency or cost. The following discussions briefly consider several such acquisition technologies.
