Dehradun: Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), a leading institution in the field of chemistry in the country, not only conducts research and development in the down stream sector of petroleum, it is also conscious of its social responsibilities besides its mandate and is engaged in research work directly related to public welfare. It is in this tradition that a technology of constituting heavy load-bearing, durable roads good for the populace has been developed.
