The thaw after heavy snowfall in Wiltshire, UK, resulted in localised flooding and road closures. The excess water needed to be cleared quickly. The Council provided snowploughs which could work in, and drive through the deep water, and mount a pump capable of shifting 5,500 litres of water a minute when the thaw arrived.
