Curtiss-Wright to supply 16 RCPs for Chinese AP1000 nuclear plants

Curtiss-Wright Corp has secured contracts worth more than US$450 million from Harbin Electric Power Equipment Co Ltd and Shenyang Blower Works Nuclear Pump Co Ltd primarily to provide AP1000 plant reactor coolant pumps (RCPs) for a number of Generation III+ commercial nuclear power plants in China. Shipment of the 16 Curtiss-Wright RCPs is not expected to begin until 2019.
