摘要

Divers have always been necessary contributors to the growth and maintenance of subsea pipeline networks. They have been largely responsible for carrying out increasingly complex operations in harsh and dangerous environments, and are often exposed to risk of significant injury or even death. Operators have long desired to remove divers from the subsea equation, but with no better alternative in place, the industry has continued its reliance on diver-supported pipeline operations.
