Viral diseases related to egg laying problems

Many poultry farmers may have experienced a major drop in egg production or quality. Aside from management failures, many other factors may cause the problem. Some are easy to prevent or correct, others have a bigger impact and may result in severe economic losses. Viral diseases are among these troublemakers. There are a large number of factors which can cause depression in egg production. Many of these factors are known as non-infectious (feed lacks, temperature, house hygiene, etc.) while some are infectious due to bacteria, moults and protozoa (E. coli, Salmonella, Haemophilus, micotoxms, coccidia, etc.). However, the most important are of viral origin. In order of actual economic importance they are: Infectious bronchitis (IB), Avian encephalomyelitis (AE), Adenovirosis (EDS), Newcastle disease (ND) Laryngotracheitis (ILT) and to a lesser extent: Low patogenic avian influenza (LPAI), Lymphoid and myeloid leucosis (LL), Marek's disease (MD), etc.
