Preparation and properties of non-ionic polyurethane surfactants

Non-ionic polyurethane surfactants have been synthesised successfully by the reaction of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with glycerol monostearate (GM), the NCO-prepolymer then capped with mono methoxy polyethylene glycol (PEG). These surfactants have an amphipathic structure which contains a mono-tail and double head groups.
