CARBON MONOXIDE Carbon Monoxide Awareness week survey finds widespread ignorance

A survey to coincide with Carbon Monoxide Awareness week has revealed continued widespread ignorance among homeowners about the risks. The survey of 2,000 people, carried out by utility supplier power, found only 6 per cent of respondents could identify the most common symptoms of CO poisoning and 12 per cent thought it was possible to smell carbon monoxide, with a further 10 per cent admitting they had no idea how to identify a CO leak.
