Hydroxy-functional fluoropolymers,such as fluorinated ethylene-hydroxyalkyl vinyl ether (FEVE),are useful base resins in thermosetting coatings and give a high level of performance. However hydroxyalkyl vinyl ethers are relatively expensive.
