It is a great honor for me to be elected as the fourth Editor-in-Chief of our journal 'Hand Surgery' by the Council Meeting of the Asian-Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (APFSSH). First of all, I'd like to express my sincere appreciation and commendation for the invaluable contributions and services the pioneers have rendered for the Hand Surgery and the APFSSH. The former Editors-in-Chief, professors Chow, Ikuda, and Minami, had devoted themselves enthusiastically to the development of the journal.
