Norwegian researchers describe benefits of 'false winter' when rearing wild Arctic char: Less light, faster growth study indicates

A multi-tiered project to look into various aspects of growing wild-caught Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) in land-based recirculation systems has produced a number of suggestions which are expected to help the industry. The project is now being extended to include a study on the effect of winter light conditions on sexual maturity and fish quality.
