PROFESSOR MOSTOW WIN WOLF PRIZE

George "Dan" Mostow, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Yale, has won the 2013 Wolf Foundation Prize in Mathematics. The award announcement states,"In Mostow's work one finds a stunning display of a variety of mathematical disciplines. Few mathematicians can compete with the breadth, depth, and originality of his works." Mostow will split the $100,000 prize with Michael Artin of MIT, who works on algebraic geometry.
